Don't cry for me Argentina!
I'm just completing Chapter 5, which follows Mark and Serena in the modern era. Serena drops the bombshell at lunch with Mark, Darpak and Kamala, that her father was executed in Argentina for his political views. Here is the Wikipedia page with information about 1970's Argentina's Dirty War.
