In 1816, Byron was preparing to move into the Villa Diodatti, which he did the following day, June 10. Mary and Percy Shelley, their infant son William, and Mary's bothersome half-sister Claire had already moved into the nearby Maison Chapuis (photo) along Lake Geneva.
