Vitamin D and autism

One of the characters, Blake, in my new novel Motion of a Soul has autism. I didn't realize when I first began to write about him that more non-whites than whites (Blake is African) have autism, or that there was a link to Vitamin D deficiency. In the story, Blake abhors the outdoors and goes out as little as possible.

I'm using this photo for my visualization of Blake, an Eritrean orphan.

The title of the novel, Motion of a Soul, comes from a poem by Shelley.
