The New York Times has an interesting article this morning about animals and regret--do they ever feel bad about what they do? Do they actually apologize? It seems that they might, though the author ends the article with this question: Do domestic cats ever feel sorry about anything?
Hmmm. Not mine.
The Parrot's Lament by Eugene Linden discusses the phenomenon, and it's in my library, so I will check it out.
